Inspired by the Darby English text How to See A Work of Art in Total Darkness, the solo exhibition Keeping Record plays on what English posits as paradigm where darkness is no longer seen as oppressive to visibility, bur rather a tool in and of itself worthy of consideration as an apparatus to gain knowledge. Throughout the duration of the exhibition viewers moved through the space navigating in near darkness, asking audience members to view their lack of sight as privilege, not a hindrance.
